Most property losses from Irene not covered! - Laura Jennison
I just read this morning that only about 30% of property losses inflicted by Tropical Storm Irene in Connecticut will be covered by insurance. Wonder why? Because the normal homeowner policy does not cover flood losses. The Federal Flood Program is available here in Hawaii and if you aren't in a hazardous flood zone, the premiums are very reasonable. If you are in a flood zone, your lender probably already required flood insurance, but if you don't have it now, just give us a call for a quick quote.

Preston to lead marine insurance division

Aloha Insurance Services, a full service agency with offices in Kailua-Kona and kailua, Oahu recently named Peter Preston as manager of the new Ocean Marine Department.

Preston has been in the insurance industry for 33 years, including eight years with London/Lloyds market experience.
